Life Drawing: Core Connections

2 Day Workshop | This course is completed

In this two session workshop series, students will be introduced to a unique approach to Life Drawing developed by long-time life model, Louise Boultbee. Together, with TSA instructor Tina Oehmsen-Clark, Louise will demonstrate and guide the students through a series of short movement exercises designed to give the student a deeper and more physical understanding of the body in relation to the model's poses. This three-step sequence of demonstration, body work exercise and drawing, repeats itself throughout the sessions, focusing on drawing a different part of the body as each session progresses.

Students will be able to explore life drawing as an expressive art form, guided by both Louise and Tina through demonstrations and group discussions.

Base Tuition: $138 + Model Fee: $30 + Material Fee: $15 = $183 Total

Louise Boultbee

Guest Artist

Louise began her career as a life drawing model over 30 years ago and has been an active model in the Toronto area for almost 15 years working extensively at TSA, OCADU, Toronto Metropolitan University, Centennial College, Max the Mutt School of Animation, as well as other schools and private artists’ groups. The Core Connection workshops have grown organically out of her years modeling and working with instructors and students. They have proven to be highly effective tools for quickly strengthening life drawing skills for students of all levels.
