Bring your ideas to life on canvas in this hands-on acrylic painting class. Designed as an open space for creative exploration, this course goes beyond standard technique to help you discover and refine your personal style, whether your approach leans toward abstract, figurative, realistic, or anywhere in between.Through flexible assignments, you will experiment with diverse contemporary painting strategies, learning how to take an initial concept and translate it into a finished piece. You will have full creative freedom to interpret prompts, test new methods, and push your artistic boundaries. Class critiques provide a supportive, collaborative environment to discuss your work and stylistic choices, and build confidence in your unique artistic voice.

Notes:
- Acrylic paints only. No oil paints please.
- This is an intermediate painting class: previous painting experience is recommended.

Base Tuition: $530 + Model Fee: $17 = $547 Total

Fabo, Andy
Andy Fabo

Andy is a Toronto artist, art critic, independent curator and art educator. Since his first solo show at A Space in Toronto in 1979, he has exhibited across Canada and internationally. In 2005 he was given a retrospective at the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art. He is the author of several essays and reviews in Canadian periodicals (C Magazine, Descant, Parachute, Fuse) as well as many exhibition catalogues. He has taught in many Canadian universities, including McMaster, York, Brock and U of T.
