Expressive Floral Painting: Colour, Gesture & Mood

8 Week Class | Registration opens 2026-04-14 12:00 PM

This course explores floral painting beyond representation, focusing on colour, gesture, and mood. Using fresh floral arrangements and selected references, students will learn how to translate observation into expressive, dynamic compositions.

Through demonstrations and guided exercises, we will investigate colour relationships, temperature, layering, and expressive brushwork. Emphasis will be placed on simplifying forms, creating depth through value and contrast, and developing a confident personal painting language.

Suitable for students working in acrylic or oil who are interested in loosening their approach while strengthening their technical foundation.

Base Tuition: $406 + Material Fee: $10 = $416 Total
