In this immersive four-day workshop, young artists will explore and appreciate the beauty of the natural world through drawing and printmaking. Participants will learn foundational animal and nature drawing techniques, experiment with expressive mark-making, and create their own prints
using lino cut and gelli-printing methods. With plenty of hands-on guidance and creative freedom, students will build skills, confidence, and a portfolio of unique nature-inspired artwork to take home. Perfect for curious creators who love animals, nature and art

Base Tuition: $345 + Material Fee: $25.00 = $370 Total

  • What You Will Learn:
    - Learning how to draw animals and plants.
    - Learning how to apply value, colour and texture in your drawings.
    - Learning how to interpret nature by using patterns, detail, close-ups and repetition in your compositions.
    - Learning how to mono print, lino cut and use of various tools.
    - Exploring and developing ideas, editing and presenting.
  • - Sketchbook, mixed media paper (9x12”)

Oehmsen-Clark, Tina
Tina Oehmsen-Clark

Tina's work has always been an exploration between various art forms, including sound, dance, installation, sculpture and drawing. She has exhibited in various galleries, museums and public spaces in Germany, Denmark and Canada. Since moving to Toronto in 1996, Oehmsen-Clark has worked on art projects at the AGO, Ryerson Student Gallery, Dancemakers and Wychwood Artscape. Besides her own art practice, she has taught in a number of schools and institutions including TSA. Tina always enjoys working with a wide age range, and believes that teaching art is an interactive learning process, both to inspire and be inspired.
