Creative Perspective Drawing

10 Week Class | Available

This class is appropriate for students who have some experience with basic 1 and 2 point perspective drawing and would like to expand their skill set by exploring more complex perspective strategies and rendering techniques.

We will start by revisiting basic 1 and 2 point perspective drawing and then move into some more dramatic views that include a vertical 2 point perspective, multi-point perspective, a banana pan and curvilinear perspective (the fishbowl). Throughout the course students will be introduced to a variety of different rendering techniques that will focus on designing dramatic drawings with the use of colour theory and composition. Photo references of both indoor and outdoor locations from around the world will be available online in the class Google Drive. Each week, the instructor will demonstrate a different rendering style that students can practice in class with provided materials and at home using their own.

During the first class, the instructor will show several examples of creative perspective drawings, artists for inspiration, and review some materials that we will explore throughout the term. Note: There is no class on October 13th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Base Tuition: $490 + Model Fee: $10 = $500 Total
