Characters in Costume for Animation

Learn to design characters for your narratives and explore the incorporation of costumes. Your character’s clothes make an impression and tell stories all on their own. Learn how to make thoughtful choices about what your characters wear—and why. For instance, the power of how to wear a hat, or a silhouette in an alley setting. Explore how clothes affect a character’s personality, their movements and how they build the character’s world and narrative.
Note: This course is suited to those 15 years and older.

Enzo Avolio
Enzo has been working in Animation and the Arts for many years now, including teaching Character Design in the BA Animation program at Sheridan College in Oakville. He has television credits for both Disney and Warner Bros. He joined TSA as an instructor, working with both youth and adults teaching animation including courses like Character Design, Drawing for Animation and Making Monsters for Youth courses. Enzo’s goal is the practise of creativity and the exploration of student's imaginations with a spirit of fun.
