Colour Explorations: Mixing, Theory & Composition
10 Week Class | Available
Students will learn to see the elements that compose any observed colour and be able to mix these accurately. This course is process based, as the project for each class builds upon the practice of the last week. Colour theory is brought to life and applied through practical, structured exercises. The second part of the course addresses the role of colour in composition. A series of projects investigates the effect of hue, value, temperature and intensity on spatial relationships, colour relationships and personal expression. Students will develop their ability to make intuitive choices to express their individual sensibility.
This course is focused on painting, however, the principles apply to all disciplines involving colour.
Base Tuition: $480 + Model Fee: $17 + Material Fee: $10 = $507 Total
