Nature and Weather
10 Week Class ONLINE | This course is currently not open for registration.
In this course, we will explore Nature and Weather through Drawing, Watercolour and Pastel Painting, Monoprinting and Mixed Media. From Sunsets to Storms, Icicles, Raindrops and Fall Foliage, we will create images that depict and express our deep connections and concerns with our changing seasons and phenomena in our surroundings. Through presentations and demonstrations, group discussions and individual mentorship, this class offers not only an insight into art techniques with various media, but also an art historical as well as contemporary art making context.
Note: There will be no class on Monday, October 14th due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Base Tuition: $480 + Material Fee: $20 = $500 Total

- How to develop ideas and edit images

- How to create a composition by using detail, close-up, cropping, repetition and patterns
- How to handle and apply different media, including mono printing, pastel, water colour and more
- How to create a journal with text, images, sketches and prints that documents this journey

Tina Oehmsen-Clark
Tina's work has always been an exploration between various art forms, including sound, dance, installation, sculpture and drawing. She has exhibited in various galleries, museums and public spaces in Germany, Denmark and Canada. Since moving to Toronto in 1996, Oehmsen-Clark has worked on art projects at the AGO, Ryerson Student Gallery, Dancemakers and Wychwood Artscape. Besides her own art practice, she has taught in a number of schools and institutions including TSA. Tina always enjoys working with a wide age range, and believes that teaching art is an interactive learning process, both to inspire and be inspired.
