Youth Clay Studio Club (11-15 years)

6 Week Class | Available

This NEW course offers young artists ages 11-15 years an opportunity to explore clay hand building techniques. We’ll explore a variety of techniques and learn to make everything from ‘pinch pots’ and vessels to animals and characters using coils, slabs and other fun techniques. You’ll learn how to decorate and paint your creations with underglazes and pieces will be fired and glazed.

This is a great opportunity to expand your creativity and learn about ceramic processes, materials and techniques through group instructions and one on one mentorship by the instructor.

Base Tuition: $350 + Material Fee: $30 = $380 Total

    Learn to create a sculpture/object with various hand building techniques including pinch, coil and slab

Oehmsen-Clark, Tina
Tina Oehmsen-Clark

Tina's work has always been an exploration between various art forms, including sound, dance, installation, sculpture and drawing. She has exhibited in various galleries, museums and public spaces in Germany, Denmark and Canada. Since moving to Toronto in 1996, Oehmsen-Clark has worked on art projects at the AGO, Ryerson Student Gallery, Dancemakers and Wychwood Artscape. Besides her own art practice, she has taught in a number of schools and institutions including TSA. Tina always enjoys working with a wide age range, and believes that teaching art is an interactive learning process, both to inspire and be inspired.
