3 Day Workshop | This course is completed

In this 3 day workshop, we will explore this ancient and versatile medium on various grounds and with a variety of tools. We will be working with Japanese paper, watercolour paper, cartridge paper and Yupo, using skewers, chopsticks, plant based sticks, dip pens and brushes. We will explore line, texture and washes, drawing from imagination and observation. Through examination, presentations and demonstrations, we will explore the possibilities of ink and ink making. Individual mentorship and group discussions will give you the opportunity to discuss and present your work and learn about ink art throughout history.

Oehmsen-Clark, Tina
Tina Oehmsen-Clark

Tina's work has always been an exploration between various art forms, including sound, dance, installation, sculpture and drawing. She has exhibited in various galleries, museums and public spaces in Germany, Denmark and Canada. Since moving to Toronto in 1996, Oehmsen-Clark has worked on art projects at the AGO, Ryerson Student Gallery, Dancemakers and Wychwood Artscape. Besides her own art practice, she has taught in a number of schools and institutions including TSA. Tina always enjoys working with a wide age range, and believes that teaching art is an interactive learning process, both to inspire and be inspired.
