Floral Painting

Learn to capture the beauty of flowers in paint! Flowers are highly amenable to interpretation and provide an excellent opportunity to develop your conceptual and organizational painting skills. In this course, students will explore the nuances of value and hue, brush stroke techniques, composition and design, setting up a still life and colour mixing.
Base Tuition: $365 + Material Fee: $12 = $377 Total

- Representing a still-life object and flowers by optimizing elements of light, colour and composition
- Develop brush-handling techniques
- Explore acrylic painting techniques and acrylic mediums
- Experience colour mixing techniques and different pallets to create a lifelike still-life
Leila Refahi
Leila is a visual artist, researcher, and educator working across painting, installation, and digital media. Her practice explores environmental issues such as climate change, ecological loss, and endangered species, with a strong focus on socially engaged and participatory art. Through her work, she is interested in how art can raise environmental awareness and contribute to shared knowledge within communities. Refahi has presented six solo exhibitions and participated in over 60 national and international group exhibitions and festivals.
