25172 Making Chenille

This class will teach you to make your own chenille from yarn (scrap, new and used yarn from weaving knitting crocheting, macrame, etc.) which can then be woven into rugs, blankets, pillow covers, etc. You will learn how to weave and cut the chenille and given instructions for making cloth with it. Bring lunch or purchase locally.
AGE: Adults
4 or more shaft table or floor loom at least 10 inches wide, threaded for straight twill, sharp scissors, yarn (extra bobbins, thrums, scraps at least 10 inches long, yarn from the shelves at WaFAC) from weaving, knitting, crocheting, etc. Teacher will contact students before class for specifics.

I learned to weave at WaFac at least 10 years ago and have been learning everything possible about weaving since then. I am a prolific weaver at home and love to try out new patterns on dish towels. Coming from a long line of teachers, I have always been one to share any knowledge I get.
