Drawing the Figure in Proportion

11 Week Class | Available

Proportion strategies are relevant to all subjects. While working with a live model each class, students will focus on learning techniques to draw the human figure and other subjects accurately in proportion. Through demonstrations, we will review gesture drawing, negative shape, alignment studies, angle sighting and how to properly measure relationships. There will be optional homework assignments each week for students to practice their measuring skills on their own time. Homework studies will include practicing the new technique of the week on objects of their choosing as well as still life group studies. This course is perfect for artists of any medium looking to improve their proportion drawing skills and accuracy.

Note: There will be no class October 14, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
